FIAAI supports enterprise development to increase skills, improve employment opportunities and actively participate in the Island’s economic development. FIAAI set up separate proprietary limited companies with local community directors to operate Thule Farm, Flinders Island Bakery in Whitemark and Furneaux Tavern at Lady Barron.
Flinders Island Bakery
The Flinders Island Bakery sells a range of baked goods & fresh food from the shop located in Whitemark, including our famous Wallaby Pie.
Open Monday to Friday. The Bakery Cafe also provides catering for big and small events. EFTPOS available.

Furneaux Tavern
Twelve spaciously appointed accommodation units set in an acre of Flinders Island native gardens. Each accommodation unit has a double and a single bed. Separate bunk room accommodation is ideal for fishing groups or large family groups.
Meals are available 7 days a week.

Thule Farm
As part of FIAAI’s commitment to enterprise development, FIAAI own and operate Thule Farm running sheep and cattle.
Thule Farm employs a local manager, casual farm hands and shearers during the shearing season.
